Nigeria’s Dream Team V1 are waiting to see who they play in the final round of qualifying for the Under-23 African Youth Championship which holds in Senegal, and which serves  as a route to the male football event of the Olympic games.

Samson Siasia’s boys would play against one of Ghana, Liberia or Congo in the third and final round of qualification.

Ghana’s Black Meteors await the winner of Liberia and Congo and could then set up a meeting against the Dream Team if they win their second round fixture.

The top three teams in the Under-23 African Youth Championship will qualify automatically for the Olympics while the fourth place team would play a play-off game against a team from Asia.

Gabon won the first edition of the quadrennial African Youth Championship which held in Morocco in 2011.
