All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Engr. Rotimi Fashakin, this morning accused Director of Media and Publicity of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation (PDPPCO), Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, of plotting to kill him.
He made the allegation in a Facebook post shortly before 6am, uploading an anti-Fani-Kayode video and asking: “Is this why FFK is after my life?” Fashakin quickly added: “Let it be said clearly: my Lord Jesus Christ conquered death for me more than two thousand years ago. I shall not die until I have fulfilled the purposes of God.”
He quoted Acts 13:36: “But David, after he had served his generation by the will of God, rested and was buried.”
Fashakin had in a related post around 9pm last night cried out about ‘DEATH THREAT TO ROTIMI FASHAKIN FROM JONATHAN’s SYMPATHIZERS’. He wrote:
“Today, at 6:09pm and 6:17pm, I got two life threatening messages on my phone from the same number - 08173716604.
“ “Mr. ICT expert, ur plan on our man kayode may cost ur life. we have been told of all ur plans and if dare it, is a risk of ur life and that of ur family.”
“ “Dont say u are not warned, we are following u, we are waiting to see anything funny about our man on the social media. U BASTARD watch ur back”
“This struggle to wrest Nigeria from the hands of the Jackals has now taken a dangerous bend. With victory in sight for the PROGRESSIVES, the reactionaries elements are now threatening our lives.
“We dare say, Nothing can truncate our destiny without the permission of the ALMIGHTY GOD. We remain unfazed in our charted course of rescuing Nigeria from her perilous governance!
“You may recall that the press Conference, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode addressed in which he alleged that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was planned to be president through the back door, he advised GMB thus: “Watch your back.” I am just wondering that the last phrase of the message sent to me at 6:17pm was the same. Is this a common phrase with the Jonathan sympathizers? Who registered this number?
“This is just to inform the good people of the Country that Jonathan’s goons are NOW on the prowl.”
News Express sought Fani-Kayode’s reaction but he did not respond to a text message sent to him on the issue.
