Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has splashed some special gift items on Nollywood star, Kate Henshaw.
The 49-year-old Cross River State born actress could not conceal her excitement as she hurried to display the gift items via a video clip she posted on her Instagram page over the weekend.
According to the mother of one and divorced wife of Rod Nuttall, a Briton, she received a call on Friday and when she asked for the identity of the person on the other end, he said there were some special gift items for her from the governor of Lagos State.
“I was dazed. Me? Special gifts from Lagos State governor? Who am I?” said Kate who made her debut in acting in 1995 through the movie titled When The Sun Sets produced by Hints magazine.
Before she knew it and to her greatest surprise, the special parcel was soon delivered right on her doorsteps.
When the School of Medical Laboratory Science graduate opened the parcel, the first item that caught her attention, according to her, was a box containing a beautifully dyed Adire material designed in form of hijab. She took it out and wore it around her neck and shoulders.
Next was a carefully worded gift item made in form of an award plaque.
The special gifts from the number one citizen of Lagos State, she said, were in recognition of her various contributions towards the upliftment of womanhood, and they were given to mark the International Women’s Day.
