It appears fans will have to wait much longer for the release of the much awaited album Jesus is King by the master rapper, Kanye West.
The American singer, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur and fashion designer had said he was dumping secular music for gospel with Jesus is King which he promised to drop on Sunday, September 30, 2019.
The entire stage was set for the big release, expectation was high but nothing like Kanye West’s maiden gospel song dropped and there has not been any official statement issued to that effect up till the time of going to press.
That would not be the first time of disappointment. But Maggie’s Blog gathered that the delays are seemingly caused by Kanye’s “perfectionist tendencies”, with sources from his camp saying he keeps making “final tweaks, subtly changing the tracks each time he listens to the album”.
For how long will these changes continue? That is the question on the lips of his fans around the world.
It is on record that the 42 years old music superstar has won for himself 21 Grammy Awards, making him one of the most awarded artistes of all time and the most Grammy-awarded artiste of his generation.
His fans are anxious to see if this powerful singer and performer will perform same feats with the gospel music genre.
