Nigeria’s velvet-toned singer, Duncan Wene Mighty Okechukwu, better known as Duncan Mighty, returned Monday night from Cyprus where he had gone on a musical performance.
As soon as the 46-year-old Rivers State-born reggae artiste who names his brand of music “African R&B”, touched down on the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, he did not even wait for his luggage, he dashed into another aircraft at the local wing of the airport and headed straight to his village, Obio Akpor, via Port Harcourt, leaving his luggage in the care of his manager. And why was he so much in a hurry to get to his village?
Hear him: “Thank you Jesus, I have touched down motherland. Heading straight to villa for Agbo (herbal concoctions) burnt offering to wash away all the oyibo sugar in seconds.”
Can you beat that? When next Duncan tells you he is an African man to the core, believe him.
