An Enugu-based legal practitioner, Mr. Ugochukwu Adileje has received the endorsement of three local government areas in Anambra State for the 2019  House of Representatives contest.

The chairmen who are of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) include Njikoka, Anaocha and Dunukofia Local Government Area.

Speaking at a forum at Aguluzigbo in Anaocha local government with stakeholders present, the chairmen namely, Chief Jude Ezeani for Anaocha, Mr. Hyginus Anaeto for Njikoka and Mr. Chigbo Dibiaezue for Dunukofia, said that having considered the background of all the aspirants for the position, Adileje stands out as the most suitable to represent the zone at the national assembly.

In their separate speeches during the forum, the three chairmen said they were already mobilising PDP members in their areas to ensure that Adileje secured the party’s ticket to enable him to contest the February 2019 election.

According to the chairmen, the constituency needed a vibrant person with the right connections, for the sole reason of it being one of the largest in the state adding that he would attract the dividends of democracy to the area.

They regretted that the erosion menace, which had troubled the constituency for long was yet to receive any attention.

They urged Adileje to make the erosion menace a top priority if elected to serve.

In his speech, Adileje promised not to disappoint the people of the constituency, saying that he had already articulated a blueprint on how he would tackle the erosion, which had affected all the communities in the area.

He said that every other issue affecting the various communities in the constituency would be attended to.

Adileje while hailing PDP stakeholders for the confidence reposed in him, pledged not to disappoint them as the flag bearer of the party for the 2019 general elections.

“I know I have great potential which is an added advantage for my aspiration. This matter is not just about one offering himself for service, but whether one has the capacity.  I know I have the capability.

“I have been a very loyal PDP man. I have not jumped boat in my political career. I am a dedicated person and I have been impacting on the lives of others. I have mentored so many people and influenced a lot of things in and outside the party.

“With all that, I think it is time for me to come out and contribute fully towards the development of the larger society in Nigeria. I also believe that only loyal PDP members can win elections in the party,” he stated.
