National Leader, of Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL), Princewill Obuka Richard, has expressed shock over the death of former Biafra Army Commander, Col. Joe Achuzia, Ikemba of Asaba.

He said that the late Achuzia promised to witness the independence of Biafra “but God knows why he has to take him at 90”.

Obuka, whose father, HRH Eze Richard Ekegbu, Eze Ndigbo of Oyigbo, died recently and is scheduled for burial on March 22, said the group is in support of the four days mourning for Achuzia declared by Ohanaeze Ndigbo youths.

“Though he is dead, but his legacy lives in us,” the BNYL Leader told Nes Express on Wednesday.
