Chairman of Freedom Radio dies in London

Chairman of the first private FM station in Kano, Freedom Radio, retired Air Vice Marshall Mukhtar Muhammad, has died in London, according to reports from Kano.

He was said to have died on Sunday in a hospital in London after a protracted illness.

The remains of the Wazirin Dutse, Jigawa State, is expected to be brought home to Nigeria today for burial according to Islamic rites.
