Chad backs MNJTF in war against terrorism

The Chadian Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General Bichara Issa Djadallah, has assured the Commander Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Major General Lucky Irabor, of Chadian government’s support to succeed in the ongoing fight against terrorism.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday in Maiduguri by Military Public Information Officer, Colonel Mustapha Anka, the Minister gave the assurances while receiving the Commander MNJTF on a courtesy call to his office at the Ministry of Defence, Ndjamena.

In his remarks, the Force Commander (FC) thanked the Honourable Minister for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage. He used the forum to brief the Minister on the current activities, achievements and future plans of the MNJTF. General Irabor appreciated the President of Chad, His Excellency Idriss Deby Itno, the Chadian Armed Forces, security agencies and the good people of Chad for their unflinching support and cooperation to the MNJTF. 

General Irabor was accompanied by the Deputy Force Commander, Brigadier General Moussa Mahamat Djoui, Colonel Oumar Doro and Colonel Mustapha Anka.
