Veteran actor Kasimu Yero is dead

 The death has occurred of veteran actor, Alhaji Kasimu Yero, at his house in Kaduna on Sunday after a protracted illness.

His son, Masur Yero confirmed the death to our correspondent.

He was buried in Magajin Gari, Zaria in Kaduna sate at 2pm according to Islamic rites.

Our correspondent reports that it was a dark Sunday for many, especially the Hausa Film Industry as he was described as an equivalent to Hollywood’s Clark Gable.

Kasimu Yero was a famous Nigerian actor who made his name playing iconic characters, mainly villains, in TV series or films. (Daily Trust on Sunday)
