The Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency, RIWAMA, Bro Felix Obuah, has announced the cancellation of tomorrow’s (Saturday, March 25, 2017) monthly sanitation exercise in the state.

Bro Obuah said the cancellation follows the Convocation ceremony of the University of Port Harcourt which comes up same day in the state to allow graduating students, their parents and well-wishers coming from within and outside the state freely participate in the important event.

The RIWAMA Sole Administrator, however, called on residents and all those doing business in Port Harcourt, the state capital, its environs and in the various LGAs, to always endeavour to clean up their surroundings and dispose of their waste at the approved receptacles.

According to him, a safe and healthy living should not be taken for granted by any resident in the State, as the Agency is doing everything possible to ensure that the state is at the peak of waste management and environmental cleanliness.
