The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Sunday, March 19, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Sunny conditions will prevail over cities such as Sokoto, Gasau and Katsina with prospects of moderate dust haze in horizontal visibility of 2-5km over places like Maiduguri, Nguru, Yola, Gombe and Kano in the next 24-hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 37 – 41℃ and 13 –21℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected over the region in the next 24-hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 39  – 40℃ and 23 – 26℃ respectively, except over Jos where 33℃ and 17o℃ day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are anticipated during the morning hours. Later in the day, localised thunderstorms are expected to prevail over places like Calabar, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Warri, Akure, Ibadan, Ado-Ekiti, Lagos and Yenagoa. The Day and Night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 37℃ and 23 – 25℃.
