All Progressives Congress (APC) Zonal Youth Leader, South-East, Sir Chukwuma Paul Chukwuka, has been endorsed as the next governor of Anambra State by Anambra State Amalgamated Traders Association Stakeholders and Elders. The traders endorsed him to take over from incumbent Governor Willie Obiano during a fact-finding visit to Sir Chukwuka, who hails from Umueri in Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra North. They assured him that all the traders in Anambra State would campaign for him since they have seen an alternative to Obiano.

The traders were led by 10 prominent market leaders, among them Chief Stephen Offor and Sir E.N. Okafor, and each spoke at the event, eulogising the qualities of Sir Chukwuka. They vowed to stop at nothing to ensure that Sir Chukwuka emerges the next Governor to complete the eight years of Anambra North.

Accepting their endorsement as a candidate for the APC governorship election scheduled for November 18, 2017, Sir Chukwuka challenged them to avoid lip service and eye service filled with praises without action. He challenged them to ensure that they work for his progress to first emerge as the flag bearer of the party, then join forces with him to canvass support for APC during the election.

The business mogul appealed to the traders to ensure that voters stop selling their voter’s cards and as well spread the gospel according to APC inside the markets “since a greater population of the state citizenry who are eligible voters are inside the markets.”

He assured that although he is a knight of the Roman Catholic Church, he would be governor for all devoid of religious colouration and urged them to support his ambition sincerely to emerge Governor and develop the state.

Sir Chukwuka said that although Obiano is his friend and brother, he has failed to meet the expectations of Ndi Anambra. He decried a situation where a leader should be lying to his people.

A First Class graduate of Philosophy from University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and PhD student, Sir Chukwuka was a Member of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), one of the parties that merged to form the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He is currently a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of APC. He is the Group Managing Director/ CEO, ValuePlus Group Abuja, Nigeria, even as he consults and represents several companies outside Nigeria here including Sekure ID Miramar Florida, USA, HID Global (Makers of American Green Cards) Minneapolis, USA, and IDS-NEXT Bangalore, India, among others.
