The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Tuesday, February 21, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: This region is anticipated to be under slight dust haze conditions during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 28 – 34°C and 15 – 19°C respectively except Jos which is expected to have day/night temperature of 26/11°C.

CENTRAL STATES: The central cities will be under slight dust haze conditions in the next 24 hours, though moderate dust haze with horizontal visibility range of 2 – 5km is expected over Bida, Minna and Lokoja. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 26 – 35°C and 15 – 18°C respectively.

SOUTHERN STATES: The inland cities are expected to be under slight dust haze conditions in the next 24 hours. However, dust haze conditions in horizontal visibility range of 2 – 5km is anticipated over Akure, Benin, Abeokuta, Ibadan, Obudu, Ikom and Enugu. Partly cloudy conditions are expected over the coastal cities with chances of fog during the early morning hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 - 36°C and 13 – 24°C respectively.
