Money Laundering: Former FCT Minister’s son sent to prison

Shamsudeen Bala Mohammed, son of the former Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Bala Mohammed, has been remanded in Kuje prison in Abuja.

He was arraigned by the Economic Financial and Crimes Commission (EFCC) for money laundering.

Mr. Shamsudeen stands accused of spending over a billion dollars allegedly stolen government funds on choice properties in a day as a means of laundering the money.

His bail hearing has been slated for Friday, February 3, 2017.
