By News Express on 26/12/2016
Lagos State Acting Commissioner of Tourism, Mrs Adebimpe Akinsola, on Sunday urged investors around the globe to take full advantage of opportunities offered by the State government in the area of Arts and Tourism.
Speaking during a visit to the Lagos Bar Beach, one of the venues of this year’s One Lagos Fiesta (OLF), Mrs Akinsola noted that the present administration was doing a lot to attract foreign investors to take full advantage of the present administration’s disposition to tourism.
According to her, the State Government was ready to partner with investors in this area to enable the state attain its rightful position in the global tourism sector, stressing that the fiesta, an annual event, was a unique opportunity for foreign investors to do business in Lagos.
She commended Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for the decentralisation of the fiesta to all the five divisions of the state, adding that Lagosians, especially the kids, can now have fun and entertainment in their various locations across the metropolis.
While noting that the newly introduced talent hunt event is a veritable avenue to discover talented individuals in all the nooks and crannies of Lagos with a view to developing their latent natural gifts, she observed that the fiesta has also provided economic opportunities to business minded Lagosians.
