Army Colonel murdered in his residence

The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the gruesome murder of an Army Colonel, Anthony Okeyim, on Monday evening by yet to be identified assassins.

Col. Okeyim was the Commandant of Command Secondary School in Apata, Ibadan.

The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Sam Adegbuyi, who made this known in a release, said that the General Officer Commanding, Maj. Gen Kasimu Abdulkarim, and other top military officers led senior officers of the Police to the scene of crime where the Colonel’s lifeless body was found just outside his official quarters within the school premises,

Meanwhile, the Deputy Director Public Relations, 2 Division Ibadan, Col. Timothy Antigha has confirmed the incident to Channels Television.

Col. Antigha also confirmed that the homicide unit of the Nigeria Police, Oyo Command is investigating the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident.

The Commissioner of Police however assured the populace that the culprits would be found by all means within the ambits of the law. (Channels TV)
