Nigerian Army holds seminar on Boko Haram threats

A seminar on the seven-year Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria has opened in the country's capital, Abuja.

It is organised by the Nigerian Army Resource Centre and has as theme, "Assessing the Threats of Boko Haram Insurgency in Nigeria".

The seminar was declared open on Monday morning by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Y. Buratai.

Organised in collaboration with the African Centre of the United States-based Atlantic Council, the seminar is attracting participants from the Nigerian security forces, the media and the Atlantic Council.
