The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, August 29, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the North East, with chances of localised thunderstorms in the North West including Kano during the morning hours. There are also prospects of localised thunderstorms over most part of the North during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 31- 32oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Rains will prevail over the region especially in Abuja, Jos, Bida, Jalingo, Minna and Yola in the morning hours. There are chances of localised thunderstorm over most part of this area during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 27 - 30oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: There are chances of localised rains over the inland and coastal cities in the morning hours. The entire region will experience isolated rains during the afternoon/evening period. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the rage of 26 - 29oC.
