NiMET predicts thunderstorms today in the North, rains and cloudy conditions elsewhere

Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Friday, August 5, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Thunderstorms are expected over Maiduguri, Yobe, Kano Katsina and Sokoto axis during the morning hours. In the afternoon/evening period, isolated thunderstorms are anticipated over few areas within the region. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30 - 33oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Rainfall activities are probable over this region in the morning hours, with cloudy condition during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 27 - 30oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Rains are expected over some parts of the coast like Port Harcourt, Calabar, Eket and Yenagoa in the morning hours. Afternoon/evening hours have potential for rain showers over few areas of the region. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 28-30oC.
