The Ogun State Government has announced the payment of workers’ July 2016 salary and pension.

The state Commissioner for Finance, Mr Adewale Oshinowo, in a statement issued in Abeokuta, disclosed that the July salary of the workers in the state was paid before the month ended to enable the workers cater for their needs at the appropriate time.

“Workers in Ogun have started receiving credit alerts from their various banks, even before the month ended. This is to help them sort their needs. We are time conscious when it comes to the welfare of Ogun State workers,” the commissioner stated.

He reiterated the Senator Ibikunle Amosun-led administrations continued commitment to ensuring workers welfare is taken care of at all times, notwithstanding the current cash crunch nationwide.

Oshinowo enjoined civil servants in the state to complement government’s effort by contributing their quota towards realising the rebuilding mission of the government by being punctual and committed to their jobs.
