The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Saturday, April 9, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy condition will prevail over Katsina, Nguru, Dutse, Maiduguri, Kano, Damaturu, Sokoto and Potiskum. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 20-30oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Increased cloudiness are anticipated within the early morning hours with slim chances of rains over few places within the region while high prospects of thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon/evening hours over Southern Kaduna, Abuja, Makurdi, Ibi, Jalingo and Yelwa during the afternoon/evening period. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 21-26oC.’

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is anticipated with chances of localised rain showers over Port Harcourt and Calabar axis. Isolated thunderstorm is expected over the coastal cities especially places like Lagos, Port Harcourt and Yenagoa in the afternoon/evening hours, including some parts of the inland cities such as Akure, Oshogbo, Enugu and Owerri. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23-26oC.
