Imo Govt. harps on employment creation, commends Shoprite

The Imo State Government has reiterated its resolve to continue to create an enabling environment for business to thrive in the state, and harped on the engagement of the teeming youths into meaningful businesses in line with the policy trust of the rescue mission administration.

Speaking on Wednesday while on inspection at Shoprite along Egbu Road, Owerri, on behalf of the state government, Secretary to the Government of Imo State (SGI), Sir Jude Ejiogu, stated that the visit was to ascertain level of structures already put in place at the site, as well as find out if the complex is ready commissioning.

According to his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Ikenna Onuoha, Anipr, “Sir Ejiogu maintained that the company as first of its kind in the history of the state is aimed at bringing wealth and employment to the youths through robust collaboration between the people and management of the company.

“He expressed happiness on the rate of work on ground which according to him was over ninety five percent, assuring that the present administration led by Governor Rochas Okorocha is determined to make the state a better place to live.

“He therefore assured of government’s determination to partner with any company whose interest is to contribute her quota in the development of the state in line with the objective of the rescue mission administration for job, job, employment, employment, factory, factory, industry and industry mantra.”

Mr. Onuoha disclosed that Sir Ejiogu was accompanied by the Commissioners of Information, Youth and Sports, Engr. Chidi Ibeh, Commerce and Industry, Barr Ifeanyi Ararume (Jnr), and Finance, Barr Obinna Mbata, among others.
