The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Sunday, February 14, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Hazy conditions in good visibility are expected over Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Maiduguri and Yola. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 10-17oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Abuja, Bida, Lafia, Ilorin and Makurdi will experience hazy conditions in good visibility. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 16-21oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected over Port Harcourt, Lagos, Ibadan, Enugu, Akure, Awka, Calabar and Yenagoa. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 18-25oC.

NOTE: During this period of the year, the atmosphere is usually very dry, windy and dusty. Citizens should avoid substances that may ignite easily to reduce incidences of fire outbreaks.
