National Leader of Biafra Nations Youth League, Comrade Prince C. Obuka has responded to some statements made by ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo against Biafra Agitators.

The response of the youth leader is contained in a press release, made available to News Express, and signed by Mr Aghaulor Godspower, the Public Relations Officer of the League.

Obuka queried Obasanjo’s labelling of members of the group as 419ners and drug dealers.

“If we are 419ners and drug dealers as Obasanjo claims, he should be the one who supplied the drugs to us.

“If he is not a drug dealer, why did he bomb innocent civilians in Udi, Bayelsa State all in the name of wiping out militants?

“During the Biafran War he did not engage our forces but targeted the refugees in Biafra and yet he is calling Biafra Activists drug dealers knowing full well that our agitation is genuine.”

According to Comrade Obuka, “Obasanjo is just an illiterate who reason through his anus, it’s quite unfortunate that Nigeria fell into the hands of these unreasonable old men who see themselves as Godfathers.”

The Biafran Youth Leader also dismissed claim by Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna North that Jonathan's failure led to the new Biafra Independence agitation.

“They are now afraid, they always get scared whenever they hear that Biafrans wants to go, We have been agitating for Biafra even before Jonathan became President of Nigeria, I don't see truth in what the Northern Senator said, Biafra agitation has lingered for long and became more serious this year, let them go to hell.

“They are sponsoring Boko Haram but will go to the National Assembly pretending to be innocent, who is deceiving who?”

Comrade Obuka also advised the Federal Government to stop the clamp down on Biafra Agitators.

“We advise dictator Mohammadu Buhari to desist from unlawful arrest and detention of Biafra Activists hence our agitation violates no law both local and international law, otherwise Egyptian uprising would be little compared to what will happen in Nigeria because we cannot tolerate any more breach of our fundamental human rights.”

The Youth League President equally called on other Pro-Biafra Agitators to embrace unity as Biafra is beyond individual struggle.

“Biafra Activists must unite, that is the only solution to our freedom, we must all drop our overzealous leadership ambition and form a united national front.”
