Boko Haram: Reps task FG on entitlement of slain military, police officers

The House of Representatives has urged the Federal Government and relevant military and para-military authorities to ensure that the benefits and entitlements of service personnel who died in active service are immediately paid.

This is in a bid to boost the morale of service personnel, who are fighting Boko Haram insurgents in the north eastern part of the country,

The motion, which was presented by House of Reps member, Johnson Agbonayinma, was supported by most members and passed by the House.

The House has also urged the executive to set up a fund to take care of the education of the children of the late security personnel up to university level. (Channels TV)
