The Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Ondo State has warned the state government against diverting the fund that accrued to it from the Federal Government's bailout initiative.

The TUC Chairman, Mr Sola Ekundayo, told journalists on Monday in Akure that government should spend the bailout fund to ameliorate the suffering of workers.

Ekundayo called on the state government to spend the money for the primary purpose of offsetting the unpaid salaries of workers.

Also speaking, the state TUC Secretary, Mr Fatuase Clement, urged workers to remain steadfast as organised labour was monitoring government's account to ensure the fund was not diverted. (NAN)
