INEC declares Governor Akpabio winner of senatorial seat

Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State has been declared winner of Saturday’s senatorial election in Akwa Ibom North West district.

He was declared victorious last night by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Akpabio, according to INEC, polled 422,009 of the 439,449 to defeat Chief Inibehe Okorie of the APC who scored 15,152.
